10. Voice mail*

Voice mail allows callers to leave a voice message, which can be retrieved
at any time. However, voice mail is independent of your phone’s software.
To use voice mail, your service provider must furnish a voice mail subscription
and a voice mailbox number. Also, the voice mailbox number must be
saved to your phone. Your service provider can tell you how to record a
mailbox greeting and how to change the temporary password.

When you receive a voice message, your phone lets you know by beeping,
displaying a message, or both. The exact method of notification depends
upon your service provider.

If you receive more than one voice mail message, your phone displays
the number received.

If you’ve subscribed to more than one phone line, a message indicates
which line has the message.
