• Change access codes
This menu allows you to change the security code, PIN code, PIN2 code,
and Restriction password. The phone prompts you to enter the current
code as well as the new code. It also asks for verification of the new code.
Note: Avoid using access codes similar to an emergency number such as
911 to prevent accidental dialing of the emergency number.
Change your PIN code
Note: SIM card security (see “SIM card security” on page 71) must be set
to On before you can change your PIN code.

At the Start screen, press Menu.

Scroll until Settings appears and press the roller.

Scroll until Security settings appears and press the roller.

Scroll until Change access codes appears and press the roller.

Scroll until Change PIN code appears and press the roller.

Enter the current PIN code and press OK.

Enter the new PIN code and press OK.

Re-enter the new PIN code for verification and press OK.
PIN code changed appears on screen.

PIN2 code
The PIN2 code is required for some features that are supported by your
SIM card. The PIN2 code is supplied with your SIM card if:

Your service provider supports these features
•
And/or you are subscribed to these features
If you enter an incorrect PIN2 code three times in succession, you can’t
use the features that require PIN2 unless you enter the PUK2 code.
Change your PIN2 code
Note: SIM card security (see “SIM card security” on page 71) must be set
to On before you can change your PIN code.
